For the Second Time, An Oklahoma Mother And Daughter Fight Breast Cancer Together

Mother and daughter duo Milly Lenney and Joyce Walton have conquered breast cancer two times, proving that they are no match for the vicious disease.

Milly, who is now 104 years old, was diagnosed with breast cancer in the 1960s. Milly fought the monster and defeated it despite the absence of technology and advanced therapies at the time.

Joyce was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. Joyce was able to overcome her cancer with the help of her mother. Times were good, and the couple believed that this was the last they would see of the dreadful disease.

They were both recently diagnosed with breast cancer after having mammograms. It was a huge setback for the mother and daughter, who now had to fight cancer all over again.

The bright side is that they would be fighting together. Joyce and Milly are resolved to face this disease together. Because they still live together, it is simpler for them to express their struggles.

The two even chose the same doctor to perform their surgeries. Dr. Teresa Shavney was able to operate on both in the same time frame. Dr. Shavney said to KFOR News that it was important for the two women to be able to lean on each other.
