After his mother failed to return after a shopping excursion, the neighbor’s son was raised by a kind-hearted woman. Rosalinda was in her twenties when a neighbor stopped by and asked if she could watch her son for an hour while she went shopping; little did she know, the child’s mother would never return.

Most people would definitely contemplate turning the child over to authorities; after all, not everyone can just take in a child without warning, but the situation was different for Rosalinda. The young married woman considered this as a blessing in disguise because she had been told she would never have children.
Rosalinda cared after the young boy as if he were her own until he reached the age of 18. He finally located his original father and moved away to start a new life with him, and Rosalinda went on to foster several children before adopting her 30-year-old daughter Lola in 1990.

“That little boy stayed with me through my marriage that I’ve previously discussed until he was 18 when he found his father and left to start a new life,” she explained. Rosalinda decided to continue being a mother to others by fostering many children after her ‘adoptive’ son moved in with his father.

“So I decided to become a foster parent,” she explained. Adeola, my first foster child, was a young boy. I’ve fostered many children over the years, which led to the adoption of my daughter.”
