Amou Haji, 94, was devastated when his wife died of the plague when he was in his twenties. After his wife died, he stopped washing in order to maintain her aroma on him. When we can’t bathe for a day, we are nervous and don’t want to leave the house till we can. Bathing is a regular necessity that keeps us clean and keeps us safe from common infections.

Photos of a man who hasn’t washed in 67 years, on the other hand, have appeared on the internet! He says that he stopped showering when he was 20 years old and has lived his entire life with bad hygiene. He lived as a recluse in an Iranian desert cave for the remainder of his life. Because his milieu was considered poor, he was examined for infections and other prevalent conditions. According to health inspectors, his test results were all normal, and he is healthy, as he has a robust immune system.

Haji is said to devour roadkill animals such as rabbits, pigs, and porcupines. He takes his liquids from puddles and smokes animal excrement cigars. Haji hasn’t washed in 67 years, believing it will bring him bad luck. When a medical study team in Fars Province learned about Haji, they checked him for severe ailments including hepatitis and AIDS, as well as bacterium and parasite infestations.

All of the tests were negative. He didn’t have any significant illnesses, although he did have an asymptomatic trichinella infection. Haji confessed that he was delighted with his wife when they married, and they were set to start a wonderful life together as a pair when she perished as a result of the epidemic. He hadn’t showered since she died, and his sole remembrance of her was her perfume. Haji does not wash his hair or beard, although he does enjoy to trim his hair and beard in the mirror.

Citizens who met Haji in 2014 built a brick shack in the desert for him. He became ill when they forced him to bathe for the first time in years. Haji literally jumped out of the car when the locals drove him to a nearby river to bathe. Despite their success in bathing him, Haji became ill and died on October 25 at the age of 94. Farashband City, Fars, held a proper funeral for him.
