Christina Applegate was overwhelmed with emotion as she received a standing ovation during last night’s 75th annual Emmy Awards.

The actress has been open about her fight with multiple sclerosis, garnering support from fans worldwide. Despite her health challenges, Applegate remains resilient.

On Monday, January 15, the 52-year-old made a memorable appearance on stage at the Emmys, using a cane to present two awards. The audience celebrated her presence.

Applegate, recognized for her performances in movies like Anchorman and TV shows like Dead to Me, received assistance from actor Anthony Anderson as she made her way across the stage.

As the actress approached the podium, the audience at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles stood up in unison to show their support.

It was a touching moment that truly resonated with Applegate.

“Thank you very much! Oh my goodness!” she said.

“You’re totally shaming me and my disability by standing up.”

She mentioned, «You might recognize me as Kelly Bundy from Married with Children. And you don’t have to applaud every time I do something.”

At the end of her speech, the actress from Bad Moms shared with the audience, «I’m going to cry more than I’ve been crying.»

She added, «I most likely won’t be working on-camera again. I can’t even fathom going to set at this moment. This disease is considered to be progressive. I don’t know if I’m going to get worse. Doing voiceover work is essential for me to provide for my family and keep my mind active.”
