For over ten years, Mark Cornetti and Nasheel Joules from McKinney, Texas, have turned their home into a breathtaking Christmas spectacle.
Their display features more than 74 inflatables and over a million sparkling lights, making it a cherished holiday destination that attracts visitors from far and wide.
This heartwarming tradition began as a creative response to an unexpected hurdle. Nasheel, who once loved driving around to admire Christmas lights, was diagnosed with CAPS, a rare autoinflammatory disease, alongside stage 3 heart failure. Since cold weather worsened her condition, enjoying outdoor festivities became a challenge. Rather than letting this dampen their holiday spirit, the couple decided to recreate the magic of Christmas right at their doorstep.
“We just add a few new things each year,” Nasheel told Fox 4 News. “We’ve always loved looking at Christmas lights.” Over time, however, their dazzling display grew to mean much more than their personal enjoyment.
“When we saw the joy it brought to others—the smiles and laughter—it became less about us and more about doing it for the community,” she explained.
Beyond the stunning lights and decorations, the couple adds a heartfelt touch. They set up a box for prayer requests and provide a link for visitors to donate to the American Heart Association. Their efforts seamlessly combine holiday cheer with a message of hope and generosity.
Mark and Nasheel’s extraordinary display is more than just a visual delight; it’s a powerful reminder of resilience, love, and the true essence of Christmas—spreading joy to others even in the face of adversity.
