Hundreds of Students Unite for Powerful Star-Spangled Banner Performance in Louisville Hotel

A heartwarming video of high school students belting out the Star-Spangled Banner in a hotel has taken the internet by storm.

The students were in Louisville for the 2025 Kentucky Music Educators Professional Development Conference, and the impromptu performance was caught on camera by Carrie Ann Gary. She explained, “Nearly 600 10th to 12th grade singers from across Kentucky gathered for the KMEA All-State Choir, and this spontaneous rendition of the National Anthem at 11 p.m. is part of a cherished 40-year tradition.”
