While filming in Hawaii, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson brought his French bulldog, Hobbs, to set. He’s known for being playful and friendly.

But on one rainy day, Hobbs suddenly broke free from his leash and ran across the parking lot barking.

At first, crew thought he was chasing a bird—until they saw him stop at a van with someone slumped inside.

A background actor had passed out from heat exhaustion. Hobbs’ barking drew attention just in time. Medics arrived and said minutes later might’ve been too late.

Dwayne posted about it the next day, calling Hobbs his “little four-legged hero.”

Now Hobbs wears a tiny vest that says “Set Security.”
