This Is Really Shocking… From Olympian to POW Torture

Louis Zamperini, once a promising Olympian runner, survived one of the grimmest WW II experiences. After his bomber crashed into the Pacific, he drifted at sea for 47 days, survived starvation, shark attacks, and brutal storms, only to then be captured by the Japanese  . Tortured endlessly in prison camps, he emerged scarred—but unbroken.

His journey from Olympic hopeful to unbreakable survivor shows that true heroism sometimes lives in the aftermath of despair.
