You Won’t Believe Who Prince William Teamed Up With to Save Sea Turtles

Rock icon Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones has joined forces with Prince William to champion marine life through a vibrant public art campaign in London. The initiative features artistically decorated turtle sculptures—designed and displayed across the city—to raise awareness and funds for Tusk, Prince William’s wildlife conservation charity. Wood contributed his own piece, titled “The Prodigal”, inspired by ocean hues and the journey of sea turtles. The sculptures are scheduled for auction from July through mid-October 2025, with proceeds directly benefiting efforts to protect endangered sea turtles—six of the seven species face extinction.

More than a creative venture, the campaign spotlights global concerns such as ocean health and wildlife preservation, while leveraging the influence of art and celebrity to fuel conservation. It’s a bold reminder that when culture and cause converge, they can spark powerful momentum for the planet’s most vulnerable creatures.
