Every day, passengers at a small train station in Japan saw the same dog sitting quietly near the platform. Rain or shine, he never left.

Locals learned his story: he had been dropped off there years ago, waiting for an owner who never returned.

Seven years passed.

People tried to adopt him, but he always ran back to the station.
