After 5 years of study (CYF), Solarimpact Boat AG, a Swiss business, will unveil the world’s first solar-powered yacht at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The cutting-edge high-tech design idea blends durability, modernity, and comfortable cabins.

Years of study have not gone unnoticed.

Sea roll issues under high noise levels have been resolved.

This 24 meter boat is virtually quiet and vibration-resistant, even in large seas.

The eco-friendly superyacht idea exemplifies the marriage of solar electricity, luxury, and sustainability.

The yacht’s design allows for a better, calmer cruise on the water, especially in rough weather. Yacht wobble may be reduced by up to 90% with specially designed technology. All on-board systems that can utilize the sun as the primary energy source display sustainability. The solar powertrain on the boat is both ecologically beneficial and very silent.

“SolarImpact is for state-of-the-art construction in terms of continuum flow, high-efficiency energy technology, and sustainability,” said Werner Vogeli, CEO of SolarImpact Yacht AG. Our idea for a boat gets rid of noise and CO2 emissions, which makes it an important step toward electric transportation in the marine industry.

Marlena Ratajska created the interior, which contains four twin cabins and a saloon that can seat up to 10 people.
Solar panels covering 300 square meters power the boat. There is also a diesel generator, which assures dependable operation in inclement weather.

The yacht’s power supply and management system were made with the help of the Austrian company Kreisel Electric GmbH & Co.KG, which is known for making high-performance, ultra-light batteries.

Solarimpact also collaborates closely with SunPower, a US provider whose solar cells now have the best efficiency. Solbian, a flexible solar module provider, utilizes them to manufacture flexible panels for boats. Werner Vogeli said, “Our boat raises the bar when it comes to passenger comfort and individual freedom.”
