Lonely Grandma Receives Over 1,000 Christmas Cards From All Over the World…

A great-great-grandmother received over a thousand Christmas cards from people all over the world, an experience that, according to the great-great-grandmother, helped to restore her faith in humanity.

92-year-old Nancy Letham only receives four-holiday cards each year because her friends have died or moved away over the years.

Nancy, on the other hand, has been receiving approximately fifty cards per day since the end of October, some of which come from students in Portugal who have drawn images for her.

Nancy’s granddaughter, Leo Sheppard, posted the appeal online, and she expects the family to receive about 40 cards from their neighbors in Fife, Scotland, where they currently reside.

Greeting cards are currently arriving from India and the United States, Canada and Australia, Italy, and Spain.

Mom-of-seven Well-wishers also sent Nancy chocolates, flowers, and Christmas ornaments. Nancy has 17 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

“There are some gorgeous cards, and they’re from all over the world,” she commented. That was quite unexpected.

Leo has to read the cards to Nancy because her eyesight isn’t what it used to be. “It’s just so lovely to see how many people have taken the time,” she said, sharing her thoughts.

People are not only sending her cards, but also writing her letters in which they describe their lives and the difficulties they face. It’s a way for me to reassure my grandmother that she’s not alone in the world.
