When 13-year-old William Preston decides to sell his Xbox in order to buy a car for his single mother of three, Krystal, he receives a lot of media attention.
It’s easy to focus on the negative aspects of the gaming industry rather than the positive aspects of the community as a whole, but that doesn’t appear to be the case with Krystal Preston and her 13-year-old son, William.
The boy recently sold his Xbox to buy a car for his mother, who is raising three children on her alone.
Preston’s mother went on to claim that she had been having difficulties without a car, and William had clearly noticed. So he began doing yard work in the neighborhood to aid his mother.

Then he discovered a woman on Facebook selling a 1999 Chevrolet Metro and “asked her if he could trade it for his Xbox or earn it.” She initially replied no, but afterwards changed her mind. She then said, “Yes.”
After some discussion, William was able to purchase the car for his mother. “I lost it,” she stated of her feelings after her kid sold his Xbox. I sobbed uncontrollably. “There’s no way,” I thought.
that do you know that is 13 and buys a car for their mother? I’m not aware of any and have never heard of any.” Nonetheless, she received her automobile on March 23.
This unselfish effort by a 13-year-old child is amazing and serves as a reminder of what makes the gaming community so special. Even if it’s wishful thinking, it’s not impossible that this young boy’s actions have caused Xbox to recognize him in some way.
In the past, companies such as Nintendo assisted a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player with terminal cancer in playing the game.

People who want to aid the small family and appreciate William’s kind heart can do so through a GoFundMe page. This will assist the family in getting through this difficult period. It had already raised more than $3000 at the time this was written.
This is cause for celebration. We hope that this boy’s altruistic act of selling his Xbox will not only assist his family during this difficult time, but will also inspire every PC, Xbox, and PS4 gamer who reads his tale.
