Michael, Jeremy Cooney’s 6-year-old son, could not walk when his father, Marine Staff Sgt. Jeremy Cooney was deployed. Michael has cerebral palsy, and doctors told his family that he would never be able to walk or do much else. But Michael disproved them!

Michael was determined to learn to walk while his father was away so that he could surprise his father. The family kept it a secret so that when Dad returned home, he was greeted with a welcome he will never forget!
