Avi Gandhi has been running his store, Centre Lane Stationary, in Levittown, Long Island, for ten years. His loyal customers consider him a friend. He has never taken a single day off in that time and has worked 12 hours a day, every day.

Even when his wife was diagnosed with cancer, he couldn’t afford to take time off. She made it, but Avi may have to close his store next year due to financial difficulties. That’s when the citizens of the town decided to show him how much his friendship meant to them and the community.
