Brittany Reed, a young mother from Ohio, stopped at McDonald’s on her way home for dinner since she was exhausted from the day’s activities.
When Brittany arrived at the drive-through window to pay for her food, he saw that all three of her children were “now bawling for one reason or another,” and he realized she’d left her purse at home.

She thought about it. “I look at the young man with tears in my eyes because I am so irritated, and I say, ‘Hey, I am really sorry, but I have to reject that order.'” I didn’t remember to take my purse and had to leave it at home.
The waiter, Wyatt Jones, pulled out his wallet, punched his credit card, and paid for the distraught mother’s lunch without giving Brittany a chance to refuse.

Brittany Reed believes that this is precisely the kind of hope that the world needs right now, even though Wyatt Jones understated the importance of his act of kindness. So, she quickly took a picture and posted it on social media with this message:
“I just wanted to let his parents know how gentle their child was tonight!” Wyatt, young man, do not let this world ruin your good heart since it is individuals like YOU who will change the world for the better.

Brittany had a strong urge to do something major for the wonderful young girl who worked at McDonald’s because she wished him to understand that when you do good for humanity, it will return to you tenfold.
Wyatt’s mother was unaware of the wonderful gesture that her son had accomplished on behalf of the community until Brittany Reed made contact with her. The young man didn’t even bother bringing it up since it didn’t seem like a huge deal to him.

Brittany learned that Wyatt was saving money to buy a vehicle when she contacted Wyatt’s mother, and with her approval, Brittany and her husband began a fundraising campaign to aid the young man in fulfilling his dream.
“He was extremely startled,” she added of Wyatt’s reaction to the commercial.

However, as further donations arrived, everyone was caught off guard by the unexpected turn of events. Brittany had no clue that people would respond so positively. In a short period of time, Brittany was able to raise more than $40,000.
She noted on the Wyatt Jones Go Fund Me website that “Wyatt will now have enough money to purchase a vehicle and start saving for college.”

“It’s just amazing to think that something like that can bring you this far,” Wyatt said of the events.
