As a desperate waitress tries to support her dying husband, she soon notices a $12K tip from a nice guy.
Jessica, a waitress and mother of four, has lost her husband, Robert, who was diagnosed with cancer. Due to financial constraints and the lengthy journey to the hospital where he was being treated, Jessica wasn’t able to spend as much time with Robert as she would have liked.
But then someone came along and did something that permanently altered Jessica’s life. Jessica and Robert met in high school and fell in love. They fell in love and had four kids together. But things changed soon after their fourth kid was born. Robert was diagnosed with testicular cancer, which progressed to the stomach and lungs.

Robert became so ill that he had to be transferred to a clinic more than 400 miles away. Jessica works as a server at a nearby cafe but is determined to remain by her husband’s side. She’d wake up at 4:30 a.m. and travel 400 miles to the clinic. But when it was time to sleep, she couldn’t afford a motel and had to sleep in the vehicle. What Jessica didn’t realize was that she had a guardian angel at her side: Kimberly, her second grade teacher, who subsequently became like a second mother to her.
