If you travel a lot, you know how overcrowded and busy airports are. However, this was not the case in Nashville, where passengers were brought to a halt by an unmistakable sound.

Jen Tringale was astounded by what she saw in Nashville. Her attention was attracted to a sound while going through the international airport, and she instantly pulled out her phone to record the event happening in front of her. “I observed an airport come to a total halt today,” she said.

It was an amazing sight to be sure. Everything ground to a halt as hundreds of passengers crammed into the airport to catch their planes. There’s little question that folks had places to go and limited time to get there, but all of that was put on hold for a minute when a flight attendant made an announcement. Then, unexpectedly, another sound filled the air.

Using a megaphone to yell above the din of the throng, the airline crew informed them that they had some special visitors with them that day. The children of fallen military men were boarding their aircraft as they were being taken to Disneyworld on an all-expenses-paid holiday. They also wanted to give them a particular distinction.

Everyone at the airport paused when “The Star-Spangled Banner” started to play. Soldiers greeted the youngsters while bustling tourists stood silently with their hands on their hearts throughout the play. For a brief period, everything came to a stunning halt.

“I went out onto the concourse at the Nashville airport to this sight,” Jen said in her post. “@americanairlines was flying an aircraft stuffed with children who had lost a parent in battle to Disneyworld on an all-expenses-paid vacation, and they held a celebration for them at the gate,” she went on to say.

However, when they announced them over the speaker and they queued up to board the jet, the whole airport stopped and sung the national song with (the) military there in salute,” Jen added, recounting the touching moment she recorded on camera.

Jen Tringale described this as “very heartbreaking,” adding, “most everyone standing around, myself included, was sobbing at the sight of these kids and parents who had paid such a high price for our nation.”

“Seeing the general populace in an airport stop still recognizing these youngsters was absolutely lovely,” she concluded. And it appears that social media users agree, as the video went viral quickly, garnering the deserved attention.

“Let these families be blessed that have lost a spouse in the military or these small kids who have lost a mommy or daddy,” one social media user said of the emotional film, echoing thoughts echoed by many viewers.

“God Bless American Airlines for doing such a wonderful thing by sending these children to Disneyworld and making them happy,” the touching remark continued, before adding, “God Bless Our Military for Sacrificing for Our Freedom and God Bless America.”
