Clint Eastwood is a guy of boundless ability. He’s been in so many fantastic films, and he’s also directed and written a slew of others. When thinking about Clint Eastwood, the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, which was his career-defining role. Clint has, of course, been playing it cool on film since his debut appearance in 1971.
While becoming a Hollywood celebrity for the last several decades is an accomplishment many young actors and actresses can only dream of, he’d probably say he’s most proud of his kids.
Eastwood has eight kids from various relationships. Several of them have chosen to follow in his footsteps and work as actors.
Scott used his mom’s maiden name to establish that he didn’t need the moniker “Eastwood” to secure gigs after deciding to pursue a career in front of the camera. It succeeded, and Scott was able to build a successful career. He’s now known as Scott Eastwood, but no one can accuse him of nepotism.
One glance at Scott reveals that he is Clint’s son. I don’t know about you, but the wrinkles on his face remind me of his father!
Indeed, Scott has admitted how similar the two are. He has taken images throughout the years so that others may compare them.
Nonetheless, despite Clint Eastwood’s undeniable influence in the film business, having his son did not guarantee Scott roles in all of the films he desired to play in.
According to accounts, Clint has had Scott audition for parts in his films just like everyone else. Not only that, but Scott has passed up several opportunities to appear in films directed by his father, including American Sniper!
That’s correct. Scott has stated that his father does not cast him in his films. In a 2015 interview, Scott said, “I’ve auditioned for pretty much every one of my father’s movies.”
He starred in both Gran Torino (2008) and Invictus (2009), but anybody who believes his father gives him an advantage over others is mistaken.
Nonetheless, one aspect that cannot be denied is that Clint and Scott seem nearly identical in their comparative photos.
In the photograph below, Scott is costumed as Clint’s character from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Don’t they resemble each other?
Just glancing at the photographs makes me feel like I’m gazing at a younger Clint Eastwood. And what a handsome young guy he was! Who remembers him from Dirty Harry? He is unquestionably one of my favorite actors of all time.
While Scott, at 34, has yet to match his father’s on-screen success, he has a bright future ahead of him. He can’t go wrong with such features!
Scott’s most recent project finds him co-starring with Orlando Bloom in the 2020 film The Outpost. According to reports, the film is a military drama about a small squad of US troops who are abandoned and alone at a combat outpost deep in Afghanistan.
Watch the humorous footage below to hear Scott explain why his father would not cast him in any films just because they are related.
