Kristall Goytia and Jason Oswald, like many other couples planning spring weddings, had to cancel their March nuptials owing to the coronavirus outbreak.
They couldn’t cancel their flowers since the 500 roses, 300 hydrangeas, and various greenery had already been transported. So the pair from New Braunfels, Texas, decided to distribute them to those in need of a pick-me-up.
“We knew COVID-19 was hurting so many people, but we knew the ones it was hitting the most were the elderly and healthcare professionals,” Goytia told Insider. “We wanted someone else to enjoy our flowers since we couldn’t, so we decided to give them to area nursing homes.”
