On Wednesday’s episode of the internet chat show Red Table Talk, Paris Jackson, who is Michael Jackson’s daughter, talks to her friend and fellow paparazzi target Willow Smith about her sexuality and being chased by the paparazzi.

Paris Jackson stopped by Red Table Talk to talk honestly about her life in the spotlight. She says that being followed by paparazzi cameras since she was a child has caused her to have anxiety and stress for a long time.

“I have auditory hallucinations with camera clicks and acute paranoia and have been in counseling for a variety of issues, including that,” Jackson explains. “I’ll quiver in fear when I hear a garbage bag rustling.” “I guess it’s ordinary PTSD,” she says.

Smith states during the program’s opening that she met Jackson on the set of her mother Jada Pinkett Smith’s TV show Hawthorne. Smith and Jackson quickly became friends because they shared a love of music, modeling, and concerns such as mental health, sexuality, and body image. Jackson says that she keeps her privacy by making everyone in her house sign agreements not to talk about her.

Jackson, who has dated both men and women, tells Smith that although some of her family members are uncomfortable with her sexuality, she has relied on her brothers—Prince and Prince Michael II—and longtime family friend Omer Bhatti.

She adds, “They’ve always been super-supportive,” adding that in high school, Prince Jackson joined a student-run group that connects LGBTQ+ and allied youngsters. “Not many individuals can claim they have siblings that support them in this way.”

Paris Jackson and then-boyfriend Gabriel Glenn, who created the acoustic duet The Soundflowers, had a docu-series called Unfiltered on Facebook Watch in 2020, which allowed a look into her private life. In her testimony, Jackson highlighted self-harm and suicide attempts and said that music was a method for her to release her emotions. Wilted, her first solo album, was released in November.
