In 2017, Radio Disney and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital teamed up for an excellent cause. To record a cover of the song, they asked a couple of well-known country musicians for assistance.
The song was destined for success thanks to stars like Carly Pearce, Hunter Hayes, Brennley Brown, CB30, Jillian Jacqueline, Lucy Hale, RaeLynn, Sara Evans, Scotty McCreery, Tegan Marie, and Temecula Road. But what really connects with listeners are the tender lyrics, which reach out to console people in need.
St. Jude took a step further and fulfilled some young people’s fantasies by taking them on a visit to the studio! A dream came true for the kids when they got to meet the musicians and spend the entire day watching them record, listening through headphones, and experimenting with the audio gear.
The mission of St. Jude’s is to aid children and end pediatric cancer forever. According to its website, the childhood cancer survival rate has increased from 20% to more than 80% since it first opened.
They genuinely believe they can make a difference when working with committed organizations like Disney, gifted artists, and a giving community. Isn’t it incredible what we can accomplish when we all get together?
In the brand-new version, which was broadcast on Radio Disney, listeners were urged to support efforts to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer. According to the video description, it was a huge hit, and as a result of the song’s popularity, Disney was able to provide $25,000 to St. Jude. Isn’t that great?
