Serena Smith has spent thousands of dollars trying to look like Marilyn Monroe.

A self-described Barbie Girl has told how she spent an eye-watering $50,000 on plastic surgery in just six years to seem like a Golden Age beauty.
Serena Smith, a reality TV star and musician from California, has been undergoing plastic procedures since she was a teenager in order to alter her looks and mimic the appearance of Golden-age Hollywood beauties such as Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, and Anna Nicole Smith.
She first went under the knife in December 2016, at the age of 18, for a breast job that cost more than $7,500, transforming her from an A to DD.

Serena has now had a rhinoplasty costing $11K to get a dazzling “Hollywood nose,” and she often takes less invasive procedures like Botox and fillers in her lips.
Despite this dizzying array of procedures, she craved something more.
Serena recently opted to have a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and hired a respected physician in North America to perform the treatment, and she was pleased with the results.
“I am really delighted with the results; I think they turned out amazing; the surgery entirely changed my body proportions and gave me the curvier look I was pursuing,” she said, adding that her safety is always a top priority.

“With operations like the BBL, you have to be incredibly cautious about who you allow to operate on you since you are putting your life in their hands.”
“It’s the most risky cosmetic surgery with the highest mortality rate.”
According to a 2017 article from The American Journal of Medicine, one in every 3,000 patients died.
According to the Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the BBL is not for the faint of heart.

A BBL involves liposuctioning fat from undesirable areas such as the stomach, back, and flanks and transplanting it into the buttocks and hips, resulting in a curvier hourglass figure.
Fat embolisms, in which fat enters the bloodstream and causes a blockage, are a real concern and the most common consequence due to the nature of the treatment.
Though Serena’s surgery went as planned, her rehabilitation has been difficult.
She explained, “I felt like I’d been hit by a truck.”
“The first two weeks of rehabilitation were the most difficult.” I was bruised and swollen all over and hurting all over.
“I had drains in me for over two weeks collecting all the blood and fluids going out of my body, which wasn’t a good sight, but it was all worth it in the end.”
She stated that it was difficult to find a comfortable position because your entire body was in pain and you couldn’t put pressure on your buttocks for months. The most difficult part was trying to find a comfortable sleeping posture.
But it was well worth it when her self-esteem rose.
“Anything that makes me a better, more confident person is worth it to me, because as they say, pain is beauty,” she explained.
Serena lives by this credo and is looking forward to her next treatment—a second breast augmentation to expand the size of her chest, which will undoubtedly not be her last.
She explained, “I needed to perform the BBL first before my extra-large implants to achieve appropriate proportions and symmetry.”
“I didn’t want to look like an upside-down triangle; in my opinion, achieving a genuinely appealing look is all about balance.”
“I will never stop having operations.” I’ll be happy and pleased until I’ve completed everything I want to do and am satisfied, but once you start to age, it’s all about upkeep and maintaining that youthful appearance. ”
She stated that when she reaches a certain age, she will consider face and eye lifts, but at the end of the day, all treatments are about feeling empowered.
“Having surgery empowers me; I adore that we can create ourselves to be anyone we want,” she remarked.
“Having a visual picture of how I see myself coming to life is really rewarding.”
“I am pleased with the outcomes of all my procedures, but do I see any upgrades or adjustments that may be made?” Absolutely.
“I’d like to have more procedures in the future because I prefer to keep improving myself.”
“It’s a financial investment in yourself.”
“You are your most precious asset, and having that inner confidence that comes from feeling attractive will shine through and affect your entire life.”
“It’s not just about looks for me; it’s about feeling at ease with myself and doing what I need to do to achieve that.”
Serena is unfazed by any criticism she receives on social media because she is completely at ease with herself.
She stated that her appearance has elicited a varied reaction online, and she respects anyone who supports her.
The 23-year-old said she feels awful for those who pass judgment on her without knowing her. They try to pull others down.
“My decisions do not harm anyone.” “I like to convey positivity on my Instagram page and create a safe space for my fans and followers to communicate with me,” she explained.
“You can never please everyone in life since not everyone chooses to be cheerful and optimistic.”
“All you have control over is how you react to and perceive things.”
“Being a public figure and putting your life out there for the world to see requires a thick skin and the ability to block out negativity. I’d want to do another round in a year or two, after everything settles. “I believe I have a solid foundation upon which to develop.”
