The relationship between Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady appears to be finished. After months of the supposed conflict between the pair, allegedly over Brady’s unretirement, they are apparently in the process of making it official. According to Page Six and People, the once-couple is preparing to divorce — but it’s unclear where they both stand. Page Six claimed on Oct. 4 that both Bündchen and Brady had retained divorce lawyers, but sources informed People that only Bündchen had done so. So far, what we do know is as follows:
“I never honestly imagined this dispute would be the end of them,” a source told Page Six on October 4. The debate in question? Bündchen was reportedly looking forward to more family time with Brady and their children after Brady announced his retirement in February. So when he came out of retirement in March, things apparently did not go well. A source told People that “She was overjoyed when he announced his retirement, and she was furious when he changed his mind.”
Cue months of speculation. In September, a source told Page Six, “Tom and Gisele are fighting right now.” “There’s been strife in the marriage over his choice to unretire,” another person noted. Gisele has always been the one in charge of the children. He had promised to retire to spend more time with his family, but then he changed his mind. ”
So, where do the two stand now? Sources are not hopeful. “I don’t think there will be any returns now.” “They both have lawyers and are determining what a split would involve, who gets what, and how much money will be shared,” a source told Page Six.
According to People, Bündchen has engaged a divorce lawyer, but Brady has been dragging his feet. The Buccaneers’ quarterback is still “trying to figure out what to do,” according to their source. This appears to be… tricky.
