Pierce Brosnan adores his wife’s “every curve,” despite the fact that friends offered her weight loss surgery, according to sources.

Pierce Brosnan, the charismatic and handsome Irish actor, was committed to his secret agent role in four Bond film series. Brosnan adores his wife despite her size and the opinions of close friends. Examine everything you should know about his love life.

Pierce Brosnan astounded the world with his beauty and talent. It wasn’t long before the Irish-born actor rose to prominence in Hollywood, starring in a number of box-office hits.

Behind this charming movie star stood his first wife, who was overjoyed to see him succeed.

Cassandra Harris, an Australian actress of German and English descent, married the Bond actor. “[Cassie] made me the man I am, the actor I am, and the father I am,” he admitted once.

In the 1970s, they were introduced by a mutual friend. Although Brosnan was smitten by her beauty at first sight, it took more than a passing glance for her to become acquainted with the actor. Cassandra married actor William Firth and then British film producer Dermot Harris.

She acknowledged that she “had no interest in him… But we had a lot in common, such as acting, books, and music, and once we started talking, we couldn’t stop.”

Cassandra had two children with Dermot, Charlotte and Christopher, and had previously been married, but this was not baggage for Brosnan, who married her and later adopted the children when their father died in 1986. The actor from “Die Another Day” revealed:

“We just clicked as a family. To begin with, I was Pierce, then I was Daddy Pierce, and then I just became Dad. Charlotte and Chris have just been amazing in my life.”

Sean, the couple’s first child, was born a few years after their marriage. Everything appeared to be fine; they had a mutual child, and Brosnan’s adopted children had settled in.

Unfortunately, the family received shocking news in 1987. Cassandra had inherited a genetic disorder. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which had aggressively attacked her body and killed her mother.

Eight surgeries and chemotherapy were performed on the Australian actress. Cassandra had to follow prescriptions religiously as well, but despite the unpleasant situation, she remained brave.

Fortunately, she was surrounded by a loving family, which helped her bounce back and resume normal family life. Brosnan admitted:

“Sean would sometimes play doctor. He would nurse her, and then she would feel good and get on with her life—organize the children, plan my career, redecorate this house.”

Cassandra died in 1991 at the Kenneth Norris Jr. Cancer Hospital in Los Angeles. Brosnan had been holding her hand the entire time, lying next to her on the hospital bed, praying with her, and confessing his fears.

Everyone except Sean was present when she “began her journey,” according to the actor, on their 14th wedding anniversary. While Charlotte was on the phone, Christopher went to the hospital, and Brosnan was holding their mother when she died.

Sean handled the news calmly. When he learned of his mother’s death, tears welled up in his eyes, and he said, “It’s all for the better, Daddy. She is no longer in pain.”

Brosnan took on a larger role after Cassandra died. The grief brought the family closer together; father and sons frequently hung out, and he maintained contact with Charlotte, who was in London.

While Brosnan was committed to being the best father possible by being present for his children, he recognized that it would take time for the grief to fade, so he sought counseling for his youngest son, Sean.

Despite the challenges of being a single dad who lost his wife, he confessed, “there is still laughter in the house, believe it or not, and a great spirit of life. I have wonderful children and work!”

Brosnan Is Married Again

In 1994, a few years after losing Cassandra, the actor met Keely Smith, a reporter and TV correspondent.

He explained that some friends had offered her surgery for weight loss but that he remains in love with every curve in her body. He added that he was captivated not only by her beauty but by her personality from the start.

They began dating soon after and realized they were perfect for each other. They talked frequently and found it difficult to be apart. In 1995, the newly cast Irish native as James Bond said:

“Wherever I went in the world, I missed her, and I’d send her tickets to come so we could be together. We just seemed to fit.”

In 2001, after two attempts to get married (the failure was due to Sean’s health crisis), the couple finally had their secret wedding at Ballytubber Abbey in Mayo.

The venue was soundproofed for privacy and accommodated approximately 100 guests. The couple later hosted a lavish reception at Ashford Castle.

For the ceremony, the couple paid Hello Magazine approximately IR£1 million to photograph exclusive shots. So there was adequate security on hand to deter intruding paparazzi.

Aside from a loving relationship, Brosnan built a happy family with his second wife, including his children from his first marriage. Dylan, the actor’s third son and first child with Smith, was born in 1997.

Dylan is a bright young man who graduated from USC School of Cinematic Arts. He is a cinematographer and model.

The couple’s second son, Paris, is also a model, and like his older brother, he is interested in making films. In 2019, he documented his visit to Sri Lanka and shared the UN’s contributions to childhood hunger in the country.

Despite juggling fatherhood and a career, Brosnan is awestruck by the family he shared with Smith. He has praised her numerous times for her contributions. He claims that:

“I’m one of those guys who believes that having a strong woman in your life is essential. Keely is a wonderful woman. I couldn’t find one as good even if I looked a million times. Being a father is a huge responsibility, but it is also very rewarding.”

Brosnan admires his wife, Smith
Brosnan and Smith have one of the cutest marriages in Hollywood, and the 007 actor is well aware of it! He reflected on how fortunate he had been to find genuine love with the right person on both occasions.

Since his relationship with Smith began, there have been no scandals or controversies surrounding their romance. Instead, the couple has grown inseparable and often gush on each other via interviews and online.

While celebrating their most recent wedding anniversary, the actor shared a throwback wedding photo with captivating words to honor his wife. It read:

“Happy Anniversary, my love. We danced that night and still dance the dance today. I could do it all again.”

Their affection goes beyond simply celebrating each other. They also defend their decisions and go to great lengths to correct critics.

When an online troll body-shamed his wife last year, comparing her appearance at the start of their marriage to now, Brosnan stood up for Smith. He explained that some friends had offered her weight loss surgery, but he still loves every curve in her body.

He added that he was captivated not only by her beauty but by her personality from the start. Indeed, Brosnan and Smith have stuck together like two peas in a pod.

More importantly, they have an excellent family, including their talented kids. This Hollywood duo shows the younger generation that true love is not a myth and can exist between famous couples!
