Tom Hussey, a commercial advertising photographer, won numerous awards for his series of photographs titled “Reflections of the Past.” The photographs show an elderly person looking in the mirror at his or her younger self, with a thoughtful expression on their face.
Hussey was inspired by the words of a World War I veteran. “It’s difficult for me to accept that I’ll be 80 in a few years. I have the distinct impression that I have just returned from the front lines. When I look in the mirror, I only see an elderly man.”
