During a dance performance, doctors bring joy to a ballet-loving cancer patient.

Doctors at an English hospital treated a small ballet-loving child suffering from cancer with a special dance performance.

The 5-year-old cancer patient’s passion for ballet dance was noticed by Worcester Royal Hospital personnel, who used to spend time reading ballet stories to her.

Dr. Baylon Kamalarajan and Emma Maunder dressed up in colorful tutus and astonished her with their performance. “When Ballet-mad Izzy came into our Children’s Clinic on Friday for her cancer treatment, two of the team surprised her with a very unique performance,” the Worcester Royal Hospital wrote on Facebook.

Izzy has acute lymphoblastic leukemia and is back for the second time this year after a relapse earlier in the year. “She’s been through a really bad time the last few months, and it’s something [the doctors] wanted to do for a while, but she’s been so sick, so it was a great special surprise for her,” said Izzy’s mother, Vicky Fletcher.
