A blind customer at a UK restaurant received a heartwarming act of kindness when he received a birthday message in Braille.
A video of the incident has gone viral on TikTok, with Natalie Te Paa claiming that London’s UK restaurant Luciano by Gino D’Acampo did not give her advance notice.
After watching a show together, he went to the restaurant with his friend Claire Sarah, and Sarah informed the restaurant staff that it was her birthday.
Te Paa was given a plate with the words “Happy Birthday” written on it, and when her friend reached for it, Te Paa began to feel the raised spots, exclaiming. “No, they didn’t.”
“So take heart, even though the world is broken now…true goodness still exists,” reads the caption on the video screen. “Oh my God: Are you taking me?” says Te Paa. She chuckles. “That’s insane. Thank you a lot.”
