Vanya Verigin, a third-grade student from the village of Kornevo, has a lot on her plate right now. So he turned to his buddies for assistance. While his father is at work and his mother is caring for the younger children, the schoolchildren are gathering up the burned-out bits of the house.

The fire broke out at noon on a day off. Mom had gone to purchase some bread, and the children were playing on the second level.
Then a hot bit of charcoal fell from the stove, which the four-year-old girl picked up and discarded. It then caught fire.
The large family was left without a place to live, so they moved in with friends.
There are two sons and two girls in the Verigins family. Vanya, the oldest, is nine years old.
He was placing his two-year-old younger sister in the house when the fire started.
When he saw the flames, he was not perplexed.

“I placed the baby in my arms and my brother on my back. I was trying to get them out, but I couldn’t see anything and nearly tumbled down the steps.
“I couldn’t even take a breath,” recalls Ivan.
One four-year-old daughter remained in the structure. Mother Vera went shopping at the supermarket. When she smelled smoke, she dashed into the home.
“The older one was already carrying the younger sister and brother.”
I had already returned home for the third time. “I only got my daughter out the third time because it was too dangerous to go back in,” Vera explains.

The neighbors phoned the fire department. There was no one home when they arrived. People who rushed to aid swiftly removed a gas cylinder and extinguished the flames. Surprisingly, none of the youngsters were seriously injured.
Vanya received a minor burn while carrying his family.
“As a true hero, the nine-year-old boy saved his brother and sister, demonstrating not only good citizenship but also courage and bravery.”
“We are putting together the paperwork to give Ivan a departmental award,” stated the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Vanya does not consider himself a hero. He enjoys sports, particularly football. However, he is not yet ready to play. He must assist his mother and father.
They are currently experiencing difficulties. The fire destroyed everything for the family.
