Taylor-Danielle Pearson, 27, met Irene Smith, 81, while volunteering with the elderly.
The women became friends after bonding over a language. Irene has been living alone since her husband died ten years ago.
She now has a daughter, a grandson, and three granddaughters as her “foster family” thanks to a recent friendship.
The children established a strong attachment to “Grandmother Irene.”

She pays frequent visits to them, plays with them, and offers them gifts. They will, of course, spend Christmas together.
Taylor-Daniel believes that by setting an example, others will be inspired to do pleasant things like invite lonely elders to holiday festivities.
Her husband, Michael Pearson, supports his wife to achieve this great objective.
Irene Smith has spent the last ten years by herself. Before meeting her new family, she didn’t leave the house more than once a week.
“Because Irene didn’t grow up in a family, I knew I wanted to adopt her as a member of my family when we met.” I requested tea from her. The kids adored her! At first glance, it appeared to be mutuality. “Irene felt like she belonged with us, and we felt the same way,” Taylor continues.

Through interacting with children, she regains her ability to appreciate life.
“Last year, we had a wonderful Christmas. The kids and I were both excited to open our gifts. And I’m looking forward to this Christmas.
I’m starting to feel like their grandmother since I’m so used to the family and the kids. This year, a large gathering will meet outside of town to enjoy the holiday. I’m overjoyed right now! Irene is happy.
