A married couple from Sheffield had twins.

One of the daughters was discovered to have Down syndrome after she was born.

According to doctors, this is a relatively uncommon case.

Nicola and Todd Bailey became parents for the second time.

Their four-year-old son, Lucas, is already in their care.

The couple was expecting twins when they discovered one of their daughters had a chromosomal abnormality.

32-year-old Nikola works as a nurse, and during pregnancy, she underwent all the necessary studies.

Doctors did not have any suspicions that the child has malformation.

The daughters’ names were Harper and Quinn, who was born 38 minutes later than her sister.

The doctor who delivered the baby sympathized with Nicola, but Nicola and Todd believe that both girls are stunning and that they will adore them equally.

“Despite the fact that Harper has Down syndrome, they are very similar and there is a connection between them that all twins have.

Our family is unique, and I wouldn’t change anything,” Nikola said.
