The birth of their baby, David, fulfilled a family’s goal at the modest house of Joo Prudencio Neto and his wife Carolina Prudencio. Their joy, however, was tinged by grief when Carolina was unable to conceive again.

Undaunted, they clung to hope, wishing for the blessing of a daughter and ardently praying for the blessing of another child for their family. Their prayers were answered a decade later when Giovanna, a darling young girl, entered their lives. The arrival of Giovanna filled the entire family with excitement, especially her devoted brother.

Tears of joy ran down the father and son’s faces as they sat on the sofa together, cradling the newborn wonder in their arms. The small boy carefully rocked his baby sister at first, but as he stared at her tranquil face, he was overcome with emotion and began crying excited tears.
