Loren is the genuine voice of this song, yet many people don’t know who she is.
The film The Greatest Showman’s emotionally dramatic power ballad «Never Enough» helped catapult it to the UK’s longest-running No. 1 soundtrack in 50 years.

Loren Allred performs the song alongside Rebecca Ferguson, who plays Jenny Lind in the song.

Allred has never earned the credit or acclaim she deserves for the song. That is, until now.

Ferguson was the one who asked Allred to take up the singing.

Loren Allred is on the stage of Britain’s Got Talent, ready to reveal who she is and why she is so important to the four judges and the audience.

Simon Cowell was taken aback.

While Allred sang and performed in wonderful venues with many great singers wearing stunning clothes, she arrives before the judges looking extremely casual.

«So you sang one of the most well-known songs of all time.» «You’ve revealed that you sang the song in the movie, not the actress,» Simon responds.

«I was more comfortable singing behind the scenes, but I kind of feel like the song was made for me, and now I’m ready to put a face to the song,» Allred explained.

The audience’s mouths fell and their eyes widened as they realized the woman on stage was the same woman they heard singing in the movie.

Allred, 32, believes she is now ready to share the face behind the power ballad to the world.
Before her debut on the show, Allred told The Sun that she was «still trying to make a name for myself» in the music industry as an unsigned performer.

«Despite the fact that I’ve been in the music industry for a long time, most people have no idea who I am.» Over the years, I’ve fought for the chance to be recognized and to succeed.»

«The opportunity to sing Never Enough emerged through my employment as a session vocalist in the choir, and people still believe the actress sang it, despite the song’s success.»

Allred went on.

«I’ve never had the chance to tell my story.»

But as she started singing, the room fell silent as everyone waited to see and hear if it was truly her. Allred hits her groove after an emotional start.

Note after note, higher and higher, Allred’s performance brings the house down, keeping everyone on their feet until the conclusion. And the judges couldn’t help but cheer for Loren!

Amanda Holden pressed the golden buzzer as Loren ended and the judges rose to their feet, showering Allred with gold from the sky.

Loren finally received the accolades she deserved after a lengthy wait. She desired to emerge from the shadows and into the light. I’m sure she didn’t consider the light to be golden!
