The nurse fought for 20 minutes to save the collision victim while not knowing who she was…

There aren’t many things worse in life than losing a child.

One unlucky mother, on the other hand, went through something that could only have exacerbated her anguish in ways that the rest of us couldn’t ever begin to comprehend.

Saving lives is part of Jayme Erickson’s day work as a paramedic. As a result, her arrival at the site to treat a seriously injured crash victim was probably not out of the ordinary. Jayme worked tirelessly for 20 minutes without realizing it to keep the victim alive. It was revealed to be her daughter.

It should go without saying that the day you become a parent changes your life dramatically and positively.

It can be difficult for people who have never had children to express what it’s like to be a mother or father. There is always a sense of love and responsibility because there is nothing you would not do to keep your child safe, no matter how old they become.

So please remember Jayme Erickson, a paramedic from Canada.

According to the Washington Post, Erickson was the first person on the scene of a fatal car accident in Airdrie, Alberta. While driving home, she and her coworker came across two teenagers returning from a dog walk. Unfortunately, a truck had hit their car.

The victim was trapped and severely injured in the passenger seat. Firefighters had to extract her from the automobile, and while they were doing so, Erickson consoled the woman and ensured her airway remained clear for more than 20 minutes. With Erickson’s help, she was «doing what I could.»

Erickson returned to his residence after emergency personnel were able to rescue the woman and transfer her to Calgary’s Foothills Medical Center.

However, she had only barely walked in when the doorbell rang. When she opened the door, the police were there to inform her that her daughter Montana had been involved in a terrible car accident and was being treated at the hospital.

Jayme must have been extremely stunned to learn what had happened when she rushed to the emergency room to be with her baby.

«To her shock, she learned the girl she had been with in the back of the wrecked car, keeping alive… was Jayme’s own daughter,» said fellow paramedic Richard Reed during a news conference on Tuesday. Jayme was unknowingly saving her own child’s life.

Montana died on November 18, just three days after the tragedy. Both the truck passenger and the driver of the car she was riding in survived.

In a status update, Erickson stated, “My biggest dread as a paramedic has come true.

The pain Erickson was experiencing was unlike any other ache he had ever experienced. My own flesh and blood was the seriously injured patient I had just treated. one and only. My little me.

After her daughter’s passing, Jayme told reporters that because the 17-year-old was registered as an organ donor, her passing had offered others a chance at life.
