Linda Kozlowski was born on January 7, 1958, in Fairfield, Connecticut. She grew up in Fairfield as the daughter of Stanley and Helen Kozlowski and attended Andrew Warde High School.

Kozlowski was always enthusiastic about acting. She decided to pursue a career in the industry and was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School’s theatrical department. She moved to New York after finishing her degree in 1981.

Kozlowski began her acting career in a number of off-Broadway productions, including How It All Began. Later, she was cast in lesser roles on Broadway and in television productions, most notably the television film Death of a Salesman, in which she co-starred with Dustin Hoffman.

Moving to New York, on the other hand, was not easy, as many actors will attest. After finishing Death of a Salesman, she worked as a waiter before deciding to relocate to California.

During this period, Dustin Hoffman and she had grown close, and he had even taken on the role of mentor for her.

New York, according to her, was cold. And I was depressed because I couldn’t see any other options.

Hoffman and his wife both wanted to help Linda. They offered her to stay in their Malibu beach house after moving to the west coast, and six weeks later, she attended an audition for Crocodile Dundee.

In 1986, Kozlowski and Paul Hogan co-starred in the original Crocodile Dundee film. It was one of the year’s most successful films, grossing an amazing $320 million. Aside from the fact that the fans enjoyed it, it was also a good business given that it only cost roughly $10 million to produce.

But when Linda first appeared on the Crocodile Dundee set in Australia, she surprised everyone.

“It was four o’clock in the morning, bitterly cold, and there were kangaroos and wild buffalo scurrying around.” “I was perplexed,” she admits.

The pair married in Australia in May 1990. According to the Los Angeles Times, Hogan promised her a $2 million property as a wedding gift.

After her first two tremendously successful roles in the Crocodile Dundee films, one might imagine Linda Kozlowski had hundreds of requests for new projects. However, this was not the case for her.

Linda and Paul’s 23-year marriage ended in 2014. The couple filed for divorce in October 2013, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
