According to the Daily Star, a British tabloid, Princess Diana’s final words were made public by the same fireman who tried to save her life.

According to accounts, Princess Diana’s final words were made public by the same firefighter who tried to save her life.
Xavier Gourmelon was one of the first rescue personnel on the scene when Diana’s car crashed while traveling at 152 mph through Paris’s Pont de I’Alma tunnel.
Gourmelon, who is now 50, arrived at Diana’s location immediately after the incident and was present to hear her final words.
Evidently, when the firefighter first got to the site, he had no idea who was in the automobile. He stated:
“The car was a disaster, but we just handled it like any other traffic collision,”
“To me, this was just another routine traffic accident, one of many that the emergency services have to handle, with the typical culprits of speed and a drunk driver,”
“I noticed she had a minor injury to her right shoulder, but nothing serious.” She had no trace of blood on her.
I reassured her and held her hand, asking her to be cool and steady. I also emphasized that I was available to assist.
Princess Diana’s dying words Diana was sitting in the back of a Mercedes S-280 with her partner Dodi Fayed, the son of Egyptian millionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed, at the time of the tragedy.
Trevor Rees-Jones, her bodyguard, and driver Henri Paul sat in the front row.
When Gourmelon, the firefighter, arrived on the scene, the princess was still awake. As her final words, she reportedly remarked, “My God, what’s happened?”
Princess Diana was taken to a hospital in Pitie-Salpetriere, France, on August 31, 1997, and later proclaimed dead.
After Diana was taken to the Pitie-Salpetriere hospital, Xavier Gourmelon returned to the local fire station, where he was working a double weekend shift.
According to Gourmelon, Diana had a good chance of surviving.
Sincerely, I believed she would survive. She was alive when she was in the ambulance, as far as I was aware, and I anticipated that she would survive. But I later learned that she had passed away in a hospital.
The princess died as a result of severe internal bleeding from a ruptured blood vessel close to her heart, according to the official report.
Over the years, this has been disputed numerous times, with Mohamed Al-Fayed even claiming that M16 operatives killed his son and Princess Diana.
