Male and female vocalists are essentially the same as the rest of us. Even if they are well-known and have wealth in the millions, they frequently suffer loss, just like the rest of us. They feel joy and grief in the same way that everyone else does.
When they are on stage, some performers can at least sing a remembrance song for their deceased partners. That’s exactly what happened to Lorrie Morgan’s late spouse, country music legend Lorrie Morgan.

Many believe that this performance was one of Lorrie Morgan’s most difficult to date. According to many of her loyal fans, the song is one of her best.
Morgan used the microphone to sob angrily about her late husband’s death. She performed one of his most renowned songs, pouring all of her emotions into the sad lyrics. Keith Whitley, her late husband, released “Don’t Close Your Eyes” in 1988. The song was written by Bob McDill.

His 1988 self-titled album included three singles, the third of which was “Don’t Close Your Eyes.” It swiftly rose to the top of the country music charts after its release. It also peaked at number one on Billboard’s country singles chart for the year.
Listeners all across the world liked the beautiful but deep lyrics.

Whitley tragically died after only releasing two albums. On May 9, 1989, he passed away. Since his tragic demise, four posthumous albums have been released. He was released only three months after One died.
Whitley and Morgan were seen in a number of videos and images together during the live performance of “Don’t Close Your Eyes.” As the song concludes, fans are treated to a glimpse of the couple slow-dancing.
This excellent song and accompanying music video pay tribute to a fantastic country music star.

In 1986, Whitley and Morgan became husband and wife. Jesse Keith Whitley was the couple’s only child. Jesse is a musician who has continued his parents’ musical legacy.
