Many people have the potential to do miracles when they sense the danger of others. You’ve probably heard of people raising vehicles to free imprisoned people. Perhaps it was a story of someone escaping a burning house to save three children. In this story, a single mother carried a puppy for six hours on her back in an attempt to save him.

Tia is the miracle worker in this story. It all started when she and her 76-year-old father were hiking up a mountainside when she came across a 55-pound dog in distress. She told Pickler and Ben what happened next.

When they stumbled upon the two dogs while hiking, they were injured and left behind. The dog was with another household, but they couldn’t save him. Tia and her father chose to stop around a third of the way through their journey. Tia, on the other hand, was not going to let the animal die. The poor dog wasn’t moving well due to his wounds, and Tia knew there was no way he could make it down the mountain by himself.

She made the decision to take up the dog and carry him on her shoulders at that point. She spent six hours carrying him in this manner down the mountain. The springer spaniel was “very bruised up,” according to Tia. She speculates that he may have spent days or maybe a week alone on the mountainside.

Tia described Pickler and Ben’s journey as “extremely difficult.” They had to struggle through the snow and even got off the track at one point. According to her, it was one of the most difficult things she had ever had to do.

She carried the dog on her back and down the mountain in six hours. She realizes it was worthwhile. She eventually saved the springer spaniel.

Once Tia was able to remove the dog from the mountainside, he was given emergency care. As he is now known, Boomer is recovering nicely. Tia is now traveling four hours to see a specialized veterinarian in an effort to help him. We are very happy that Tia and Boomer connected on that mountainside!
