Melissa McCarthy is often chastised and called names because of her weight, but her husband’s response to the haters is spot on…

Melissa McCarthy, the wonderful actor, is far more interesting than her weight.

The stunning McCarthy is a comedic genius who has produced, written, and starred in numerous Hollywood blockbusters.

In addition, she and her adoring actor husband Ben Falcone (married since 2005) are one of Hollywood’s cutest and funniest couples.

Falcone, 49, frequently lavishes McCarthy with love and affection, extolling her virtues.

Falcone uploaded a photo of the two on Instagram in 2021, captioning it, “This was taken at a friend’s wedding, maybe 14 years ago.” We had a wonderful experience. It was a fun wedding, but Melissa adds to the fun by simply being herself. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be married to someone who is as intelligent, kind, gorgeous, and hilarious as she is. “Happy birthday, Mooch! I adore you!”

They both appeared in Bridesmaids (2011) and produced films such as Tammy (2014), The Boss (2016), Happytime Murders (2018), and Life of the Party (2018) under their production business On the Day Productions. More recently, the couple participated in Falcone’s apocalyptic comedy God’s Favorite Idiot (2022) on Netflix.

McCarthy, who is fourth on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid actresses in 2023, is best known for her roles in TV shows such as The Gilmore Girls (2000-2007) and Mike and Molly (2010-2016). She has appeared in films such as The Heat (2013), The Spy (2015), Ghostbusters (2016), and Can You Ever Forgive Me? in which she plays a down-and-out author who forges letters from deceased authors. In 2023, McCarthy will be seen as Ursula, the malevolent sea witch in Disney’s live-action picture The Little Mermaid.

McCarthy, aged 52, was named one of Time’s 100 most influential persons in the world in 2016, and The New York Times named her #22 on their list of the 25 Greatest Actors of the Twenty-First Century in 2020.

McCarthy and Falcone aren’t your typical Hollywood couple, and their antics are endearing. with 2019, the couple attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party with similar Adidas tracksuits and sneakers. “I’m sure it threw everybody into a tizzy because the idea came to me the day before the Oscars,” McCarthy said of the choice, which got mixed reactions.

In response to her dress choices, she joked to Entertainment Tonight, “It’s not (less glamorous) to me guys, I’ve doubled my diamonds-I feel great.”

People may be surprised to learn that McCarthy is the cousin of Jenny McCarthy, an actress, model, and TV personality. Jenny defended McCarthy in 2013 after film reviewer Rex Reed criticized her cousin in a review of Identity Thief, calling her a “tractor-sized Melissa McCarthy” and a “gimmick comedian who has devoted her short career to being obese and obnoxious with equal success.”

“That’s obnoxious in and of itself,” Jenny told E! News. Anyone who attacks in this manner is wrong and unpleasant, and it serves no purpose…” “She’s incredibly talented, and people know it,” she said, “so…He is free to go to hell.”

McCarthy, who has a high rating on the scale for her acting abilities, cheerfully rejects comments about her fluctuating weight.

McCarthy spoke with Refinery29 in 2016 about losing weight for her role in The Boss, a movie she co-wrote with Falcone, who also directs. “I have, but I’ll be back.” I’ll be up and down for the rest of my life, probably. The point is, if that’s the most intriguing thing about me, I should start a lavender farm in Minnesota and stop doing this.”

“There has to be something more,” she continued. There are far more intriguing aspects of women than their butt or their this or that. It can’t always be the first question, or even a question at all…”Can you imagine some of these guys I work with being asked, ‘How do you keep your butt looking so good?'”

And about stereotypes, she said, “I want to get rid of constantly categorizing. Lists give somebody a way to shove and tear down women. Those women that are always shown, that we’re all supposed to be like, is like .000009% of human beings. That’s crazy.”

Having experienced struggles with fashion, McCarthy launched Melissa McCarthy Seven7 to share her fabulous looks with others. Production on her line, ranging in sizes from four to 28, has reportedly shut down but her fierce styles can still be purchased through second-hand online commerce sites.

Despite criticisms, Falcone still gushes over McCarthy, the mother of their two children, with heart-melting comments. Included in one of the captions of his Instagram photos, he said, “I told her, ‘I love you every day. But today I love you most of all.’ And it was true.”

Melissa has stated in interviews that her weight will continue to fluctuate. But, to be honest, I don’t think it should be the “most interesting” thing about her or anyone else.

“There must be something more. “There are so many more intriguing aspects to women than their butt or this or that,” she says.

I couldn’t agree more; she’s completely correct!
