The biggest gift we can give our parents is our love. When you become a parent, you’ll realize how proud your parents were of you when you were a good child. The majority of children who are well-raised by their parents come from a happy home, which is what filial piety entails.
Six years ago, a 10-year-old child was caught selling food to support his single mother’s household. He agreed to assist her with their family’s modest company. The boy was just discovered by FS Channel, a well-known YouTuber who assists people with tiny companies. They only recently discovered that the small child is now 16 years old.
Ilham is a 16-year-old who has been selling grilled glutinous rice and nasi lemak at the bottom of the steps at the Rapid KL Light Rail Transit (LRT) Setiawangsa station for the past six years. According to the FS Channel, “He ran a business for almost 6 years to help his mother because he felt bad seeing his mother struggle to run a business to pay rent and bills.”
“My mother cooks the grilled glutinous rice cakes and takes care to keep the texture and flavor of the rice cakes high so that they can continue to sell them at a low price,” said Brother Ilham.Grilled glutinous rice costs only US $0.25 (about RM1.00). It has a solid texture and a delicious flavor. According to Brother Ilham, “Mother cooks the roasted glutinous rice filling for 4 to 6 hours.”
Brother Ilham has been running a modest business for six years and has received assistance from the public during that time. Every day, he makes enough money selling at the LRT station.
“Brother Ilham thanked the teachers at his school,” according to FS Channel. “They frequently assist his family by purchasing a large quantity of grilled glutinous rice and nasi lemak.” Brother Ilham struck gold that day when the YouTube Channel employees purchased everything he was selling and awarded his family US$155.00 (about RM 700), due to the channel’s visitors and subscribers.
Brother Ilham wiped away his tears with the back of his palm and stated, “I’ve never held this much money before.” Anyone passing by the Setiawangsa LRT station is welcome to purchase some of Brother Ilham’s cuisine, such as grilled glutinous rice or nasi lemak, which he begins selling at 4:30 PM and continues to sell until he runs out. There is no business on weekends.
According to BuzzKini, Brother Ilham’s older brother, who is now 20 years old, has been found. Firdaus Muhd Fazil is his name. He claims he had to drop out of secondary school in Fifth Form in order to assist his mother in caring for his three younger siblings. He was unable to take his Malaysian Sijil Pelajaran (SPM) exams. Firdaus also assists his mother with the preparation of food for the day’s sales, which generates income for the household. He stated that his younger brothers and sisters continue to attend school and only assist with the sale of their belongings when they return home from school.
Firdaus stated that his mother is not a Malaysian citizen. She moved from Medan, Indonesia, and her family of five now pays around US$89 (RM400) each month for a one-room residence in Keramat. The family’s business only makes approximately US $330.50 (RM1,500) every month, which is insufficient to meet all of their demands.
