VIDEO:Mom delivers one of China’s largest infants, weighing in at 6.7 kg.

While normal infants weigh between 2.5 and 4 kilograms, this Chinese newborn has made international news due to its large size.

When the baby boy was born in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China’s northern region, he weighed 6.7 kg.

He weighs twice as much as the usual infant.

According to the doctor who delivered the baby, the newborn’s mother had diabetes and struggled with an eating disorder during her pregnancy which resulted in her overweight baby

Kang Kang, which means “healthy” in Chinese, was named after his proud father. Kang Kang is the heaviest baby ever delivered at Daxing Hospital.

In many parts of China, expectant ladies are overfed in the aim of having huge infants.
