In general, our society undervalues homeless people.
Nonetheless, the homeless are people like the rest of us, and many of them are exceptionally talented. People’s jaws dropped as one homeless man sat down at a street piano in this video. He has a scruffy beard and shaggy hair, but when he starts playing, it’s like a bolt from the blue.

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: the world is full of examples of why you should never judge a book by its cover!

The man in this video is Donald Gould, a former US Marine.
His life has been sad. Despite the fact that the video was released in 2015, some who have followed his growth say he is now in a much better position.

After his wife died in 1998, he struggled with drugs and became homeless. He has been living on the streets for the past ten years. In this video, he plays the piano on a public sidewalk. As part of an art program, anyone can play the public piano in Sarasota, Florida.

People stopped and stared as he sat down and began to play.
We feel that people expected a nasty or violent man, not a talented musician, based on his appearance. The experience serves as a reminder that prejudices abound in the world, but extraordinary people may always persuade us otherwise.

His abilities are undeniable!
Many have stated that he has magical fingertips, and his performance has left the internet speechless. The sweetest part of the video is when a man sits next to him, a child in his lap, and they both continue to enjoy this man’s singing.

Even still, your heart will break when he answers a simple inquiry.

When asked about his daily routine, Donald merely responded that he likes “making a few tips and making people happy.”
This reaction is both magnificent and terrible, for the homeless maestro brings joy to others while still carrying his own burden of issues. It’s a terrific example of music’s power and how it can keep a lot of people together.

We believe that more public areas like this, equipped with an instrument or other forms of amusement for oneself and others, should be made available. Gould is an incredibly gifted woman with a lovely, modest personality.

It turns out that Gould is currently under contract with broadcast networks!

Fortunately, this movie altered Gould’s life, as he is now under contract and working on new projects.
His debut CD, “Walk on Water,” is currently available on Amazon. His appearance has greatly changed; he now has a new haircut and appears happier and healthier than before.

It’s hard to believe, but this man has discovered the salvation he so rightly deserves, and it’s a tremendous source of inspiration for him. When we reflect on this story, we realize that everything happened because a piano was propped up on the pavement! It merely demonstrates that we can only rise by lifting others.

This gifted individual is live proof that everyone may be given a second opportunity and that we should never lose hope. We hope he stays on the right track, and we hope to see him succeed and be happy on a larger stage.
