Few people have the fortitude to turn over a new leaf and start again in their lives. A woman named Bethany Provencher, on the other hand, is not afraid of new challenges or starts.

After 18 years in Miami, this woman, a single mother of an 11-year-old kid, packed her stuff and relocated to St. Charles, Illinois for a fresh start.

After 25 years in the customer service profession, she immediately found work as a server at the local IHOP. She even moved into a new apartment but couldn’t afford to furnish it.

On the job one day, she noticed two familiar faces: singer-songwriter Donnie Wahlberg and his wife Jenny McCarthy.

Bethany was delighted to be their server because Danny was one of her favorite musicians. What she didn’t realize was that the day would become even better.

Donnie and Jenny finished their lunch and paid the $35.27 bill, leaving Bethany a message on the receipt that said, “Thanks, Bethany, Happy New Year.” 2020 Tip Challenge,” she received a $2,020 tip.

They asked her not to open the receipt until they left. Once she got the chance to take a look at it, she noticed the generous tip. Needless to say, Bethany was over the moon.
