Because of this, the mother eventually gave up and fled, taking the cub with her. But they had nowhere to reside in the village other than a decaying old wooden house.However, issues occurred in the household when Vlad was just 8 years old.

My mother had a stroke, which left her partially paralyzed. The child was faced with being placed in an orphanage, but a neighbor stepped in and took Vlad in. From then on, the child assumed full responsibility for his sick mother’s care.
