It’s tough to understand how someone could harm or abandon a helpless animal. Despite being treasured as our faithful friends, many dogs are mistreated, neglected, or abandoned. Despite the excellent efforts of several groups to preserve our four-legged friends, countless animals continue to die as a result of the heinous actions of those who are supposed to care for them.

A petite dog was recently abandoned to die in the middle of a bustling highway divider. With speeding cars on either side, the chances of survival for this helpless pup were slim.

Fortunately, a veterinary surgeon saw the dog and pulled over. He heroically dashed across the road, risking his own life to save the helpless dog. The surgeon’s actions revealed his deep concern for the fragile pup, with the goal of immediately gaining the dog’s trust and preventing her from running into oncoming traffic.
