Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman, as “Old Folks,” make the audience laugh… This video will brighten your day!

The title of a well-known repeat sketch on “The Carol Burnett Show” was “Old Folks.” In this performance, Harvey Korman, as “Bert,” wears a white wig, while Carol Burnett, as “Molly,” wears a long gown, glasses, and gray hair.

“A full moon brings out the beast in me,” Bert rages. Do you feel threatened? “Of course,” Molly continues, “I have this awful fear of getting chewed to death.”

Bert informs Molly that when he went to the doctor, he mentioned to the doctor his dissatisfaction with being thirty years old. Molly inquires, “What did he say?” Bert responds, “He advised me to forget it and return to my wife.”

The two talk about their experiences at a recent wedding of two elderly friends. Molly speaks up about the elder bride.

Bert points out that when they were discussing the bride and groom’s attire, the article claimed that the bride wore white. Molly gives him a dirty look and says, “They both wore white…hospital gowns!”

Bert expresses a desire to “get sparking” as Molly prepares to retire for the night. Molly wonders, “How are you supposed to get sparks when the flint is gone?” As the sketch comes to a dramatic finish, the audience erupts in laughter.

The pair is seen throughout the sketch relaxing in their yard in rocking chairs. Harvey and Carol are incredibly talented since just their humorous delivery generates so much laughter.
