Here’s Grace, At 7 Years Old, She Has Got Down Syndrome And An Amazing Modelling Career

Parenting a disabled child can be difficult. Down Syndrome affects one out of every 700 children.

Grace Wharton, a 7-year-old from Cheshire, was born with the disorder.

Grace’s parents, John and Cheryl, were shocked to learn the news. Cheryl admitted to crying for an entire day, stating, «There’s so much negativity surrounding Down syndrome.»

Grace, on the other hand, would turn out to be a true blessing—and at the age of seven, she’s already a professional model.

Despite her challenges, she has already inspired little girls of all sizes, shapes, and abilities all over the world.

And she’s good at what she does!

Grace’s career began by chance when Cheryl brought her to a modeling session for people with impairments.

Grace’s parents were determined to provide her with a joyful, full existence.

At Grace’s first modeling shoot, she blew everyone away. It was plain for all to see that she had real talent.

From Day One, the young girl has never let Down Syndrome stop her from being confident, positive, and energetic.

Talking to reporters, her mom said: “Grace was then signed up within a very short space of time. Disney showed interest in her and she’s done work with them, CBeebies, and the BBC since. She’s been really busy.”

Now, Grace models for Zebedee, a firm that represents hundreds of talents with disabilities.

Zebedee has a strong message for the public and aims to get rid of the negative talk about disabilities.

We think it’s fantastic that more companies are beginning to adequately represent these communities, which were previously disregarded in advertising. This includes those with Down Syndrome!

People with impairments are frequently denied opportunities to fulfill their potential in society.

Grace is well on her way to advancing her profession, and she is someone who can turn things around!

The 7-year-old has also appeared in a campaign for diversity, ‘Behind the Scars’; she even has over a thousand followers on her Instagram account.

Her gorgeous grin and happy personality make Grace the ideal pioneer for others to follow.

Other health challenges associated with Down Syndrome include impaired vision and hearing, as well as heart problems both at birth and later in life.

Grace still has some difficulty speaking since she has issues with the muscles that produce sounds and words.

«Grace has been through a lot since birth.» «She’s had some major surgeries, but she’s never been seriously ill,» adds Cheryl, her mother.

Nonetheless, she exudes joyful energy that is contagious!
