Living for 100 years is a significant achievement for a person because it may be their greatest accomplishment in life. For some, this should be a cause for celebration, and there should be a great celebration.
However, a guy named Dr. Robert Moore, who will turn 100 in 2023, did not want a major gesture from his family because all he wanted was to pet dogs.
The family wanted to grant Moore’s requests, so they used Nextdoor, a community app, according to Dog Time.
They invited neighbors from San Jose, California, to join them in a canine parade.
The celebrant’s daughter, Alison Moore, told NBC Bay Area that they were expected 20 to 30 canines to attend the one-of-a-kind celebration.
When the big day arrived, they were startled to see that over 200 dogs had accepted their invitation, and the majority of them were decked up in ludicrous outfits like cowboy hats and tuxedos. There were also canines who rode cars, as well as dogs who had disabilities.
Because the then-100-year-old celebrant, a retired dean from San Jose University, was a dog lover, the daughter said her father was moved by the special visits, and he petted every single dog who attended the event.
In addition to fulfilling his wish, dog owners went above and above by showering him with gifts such as drawings, flowers, cupcakes, posters, and more.
The Moore family expressed their appreciation to everyone who came out and helped make the event a success.

The celebrant can be seen suited for the occasion in videos and images published online, wearing a blue long-sleeve polo, trousers, and a beret.
As he sat in his wheelchair, dozens of dogs lined up across the street to personally greet him, and he knew what breed they were.
According to an Instagram post by We Rate Dogs, the father of three received a large birthday card with signatures from those who came. There were also other stickers showing dogs dressed up in unusual clothes.
In a video provided by News AU, the grandfather of five can be seen with a wide smile on his face as canines approach him one by one.
“Just hard to explain how special it was, he really felt the birthday love,” the dog-loving celebrant’s daughter said in an interview with NBC Bay Area.
Vickie Mallon, his other daughter, also commented on the big day, saying it was “probably the biggest thing that’s happened to our family, that’s given us the most joy.”
Alison shared her joy further, telling the source that the big move made her feel great about the community and that the experience was remarkable because most of the people who helped her family were strangers.
Online users who were unable to see the touching occasion in person expressed their feelings on social media. “It must have been a fantastic day for everyone involved,” one reader wrote. It’s a lovely narrative.”
“Such a beautiful thing to do!!!! I can’t believe so many wonderful people showed up!!Happy birthday Robert!!!” another one commented.
