Dontes surprised the girls during their wedding on August 13 at the San Marino Club in Troy, Michigan. The considerate groom had the idea earlier this year when speaking with his now-wife Michelle Burton, 26.

So Dontes resolved to make his stepdaughters his children while they were still young, and what better occasion than his own wedding to do so?

So, after professing his vows to Michelle, Dontes made a special request that warmed his and his girls’ hearts. He claims to have gotten quite close to the daughters over the years, and he refers to them as «daddy’s girls» since he grants more of their demands than he does to mom.
