After living in their 70-year-old house for two decades, a stranger enters and discovers everything is undamaged. Take a peek inside their 1940s-era farmhouse that hasn’t been modernized.

Old, abandoned, and antique homes have a peculiar atmosphere. They draw us in with their charming stories, but they also put us at a distance with their overpowering hint of bygone times, which we are not likely to relate to.

Following their parents’ deaths, Audrey and Jack Newton inherited the farmhouse from their family. On 115 acres, it was a nine-bedroom Queen Anne-style palace. Although they barely touched the inside of the farmhouse, they farmed this land. When the siblings passed away, they let things go, which is why the auctioneers were shocked when they went to check the home.

The music mirrored the old style of the property. Sheet music from the early 1900s and old Disney tunes may be found on the piano. Audrey, it turns out, had an ear for fine music and would host get-togethers for artists. Some of these instruments are said to have been used by great performers.

The number of hidden treasures that must be hidden in attics around the country is astounding. This kitchen has old-fashioned pots and pans and a stove that looks like it was built to last. Would you remodel it?

This bedroom appears to be a collage with randomly placed patches of different colors. The siblings debated getting rid of all modern technology. Refrigerators are not present! Rather, they extended their resources by natural means.

I’m not sure how successful that was! The siblings had not touched anything in the farmhouse. It had been abandoned for almost 70 years. With its unique items from a bygone age, the home is like a gigantic time machine that transports you to a simpler time.

As previously said, ancient, derelict, and antique dwellings have a magical air. They entice us with their tales of quaintness while also distancing us with a strong presence of bygone eras to which we are unlikely to connect. We also have a video for this home to look at!
